Mora and Sanchez Win at 2004 Fullerton Open Nov. 20, 2004 -- Fullerton, CA
Juan Mora (141) and Leonel Sachez (174) each won their
bracket to highlight Cal State Fullerton’s performances at the annual
Fullerton Open Wrestling Tournament on Saturday in Titan Gym.
Mora, a junior form Vista, Calif. and Sanchez, a junior from West Covina
both improved their results form last year’s Open where they both
placed third.
Fullerton had six other wrestlers place in their respective brackets.
There were three Third Place winners – Brian Tice (141), Angelo
Lago (157), and Landon Seefeldtl (197); and three Fourth Place winners
– Jesse Miramontes (125), Paul Tice (133) and Teddy Astorga (141).
Technically, all wrestlers were competing unattached, but the tournament
brought athletes from approximately 15 schools to dual in the only major
Open to take place
on the West Coast.
