Women's Basketball Players
CAL STATE FULLERTON 2003-04 (SOPHOMORE): Missed all but three games after recovering from off-season knee surgery • scored five total points against Fresno State, Cal State Northridge, and Pacific before sitting out the remainder of the year • had three rebounds and four steals against the Matadors (1/3) in 29 minutes. 2002-03 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 23 of the Titans 28 games, averaging 5.1 ppg and 1.5 rpg • led the team with 70 assists and 36 steals • averaged 3.00 apg in conference games (10th in the league) • ranked sixth with 1.81 spg in league games and 10th in assist-to-turnover ratio (0.65) • had five games of five-or-more assists, including eight against Long Beach State (2/6). LYNWOOD HS Played four years of varsity basketball under head coach Ellis Barfield for the Knights – who were the top-ranked team in the nation according to USA Today with a 33-0 record • a four-time all-academic team honoree, Taylor was team captain for her junior and senior years while also being nominated for All-America honors as a senior • earned all-league second team honors as a junior • helped lead her team to the CIF Division I-AAA title in 2001-02.
