Titans Drop Third Straight, 60-47, at Pepperdine

Pepperdine went on a 12-2 run late in the first half to break open a close contest and the Waves' Jennifer Lacy notched a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead host Pepperdine to a 60-47 win over Cal State Fullerton in the second game of the Four Points LAX Turkey Shootout in Malibu, Calif.

With the loss, the Titans fell to 0-3 overall while Pepperdine improved to 1-2.

Fullerton was led by sophomore Charlee Underwood, who had 13 points and seven boards to stand as the only Titan in double figures. Junior Amber Pruitt and freshman Dayana Frias each had nine points.

Lacy was joined in double figures by teammate Lauren Wenski, who had 15 points on the night in the Waves' victory.

The Titans trailed by just one point at 13-12 with 13 minutes remaining in the opening period, but a 7-1 burst by the Waves gave them a seven-point lead. After Cal State Fullerton had closed to within four points with just under nine minutes left, Pepperdine broke things wide open with a 12-2 run over the next four-and-a-half minutes to build a 14-point advantage and ice the contest.

The Titans would not get closer than seven points with five minutes remaining in the game.

Fullerton shot just over 31 percent for the contest, including a .296 clip in the first half. The Waves did not fare much better, hitting on .333 from the floor for the contest.

Cal State Fullerton next advances to face East Carolina (1-2), a 71-63 loser to Montana in the afternoon's first contest, on Saturday (Nov. 27) at 1 p.m.
