Katy Paterson scored 19 points and Courtney Uphoff added 15 Saturday night
to lead Cal Poly SLO to an 89-63 Big West Conference women's basketball
victory over visiting Cal State Fullerton.
Cal Poly improved to 12-13 and 8-8. The Titans got 23 oints and 13 reboiunds
from Rochelle Ortega but fell to 7-17 and 7-8. Charlee Underwood was the
only other Titan in double figures with 15 points.
The Titans jumped out to a 17-8 lead in the first eight minutes but Cal
Poly scored the next 20 points to grab the lead for good. The Mustangs
led by as many as 30 points in the second half.
Fullerton made only 2 of 14 3-point shots and committed 24 turnovers.
The Titans play at UC Santa Barbara on Monday night.
