STEPHANIE SHADWELL
Assistant Coach
3rd Season
UC Santa Barbara (2000)

Former UC Santa Barbara standout guard Stephanie Shadwell returns for her third season as a member of the Titan coaching staff, moving up from the third assistant’s slot for the 2002-03 season. She will concentrate on working with the Titan guards.

A relative newcomer to the coaching world, Shadwell graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2000, where she played four seasons (1995-99) and appeared in 96 games before her career was ended prior to the 1999-00 season after surgery for a herniated disc.

Shadwell was named team captain during her junior and senior years, helping lead the Gauchos to consecutive Big West Conference championships. She was selected the team's best defender in 1997-98 and won several scholar-athlete awards.

During her career, Shadwell appeared in 93 career games, averaging 4.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 1.83 apg. She is a career .358 shooter from the floor, .300 from three-point range and .755 from the free throw line.

Shadwell graduated from UCSB in the spring of 2000 with a degree in sociology and a minor in sports management. She is currently working towards her master’s degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University. She currently resides in Anaheim, Calif.
