THIS SEASON: A tremendous scorer, Quinn returns
for her sophomore campaign as the Titans' leading scorer and should provide
an offensive spark in the backcourt • 2000-01: Earned All-Big West
Freshman Team honors after appearing in 27 games for Cal State Fullerton,
starting 20 • averaged a team-high 11.1 ppg, which ranked eighth in
the Big West, shot .308 from the floor and hit .736 from the free throw
line • ranked ninth in the Big West in three-pointers made (31) •
averaged a team-best 24.2 mpg • scored in double-figures in 16 games,
including her last four contests where she averaged 13.8 ppg • grabbed
a career-high 10 rebounds at Long Beach State (1/14) and scored a career-best
25 points at San Jose State (12/21) • scored 20 or more points three
times and 15 or more six other times.
BISHOP MONTGOMERY HS: Was a four-time first-team All-Del Rey League
selection at Bishop Montgomery HS in Torrance • also named first-team
all-state her senior season, when she averaged 17 points, five rebounds
and four assists per game • also averaged double figures in points
her freshman (12.0), sophomore (18.5) and junior (19.0) seasons • led
the Knights to their first state title in school history her freshman year
• also played one year of softball • named to the Dean's List
six of eight semesters and graduated with honors.
PERSONAL: Born on July 1, 1982, in Harbor City • mother is Gail
Quinn • has an older brother, John • majoring in pre-law •
considered several other schools (Fresno State, UC Riverside, Idaho and
UC Davis), but settled on CSF because she "liked the team and the basketball
atmosphere" • favorite athlete is Kevin Garnett • most prized
possession is a teddy bear given to her by her mom • favorite TV show
is "I Love Lucy."
