Defeat Cal Fullerton, 63-55 Dec. 21, 2001 Colorado Springs, Colo. Box Score Amoy Jackson scored a career-high 18 points to lead the Air Force women's basketball team to its second consecutive victory. The Falcons defeated Cal State Fullerton 63-55 at home for the win. In an exciting back-and-forth game, an Air Force victory looked to be in jeopardy late, as the Titans took a four-point lead with just over three minutes remaining in the game. The Falcons would then score the next four points to tie the score. Trailing 50-48, Wendy Stillman scored a lay up on an inbounds pass and was fouled. She made the free throw to give the Falcons the permanent lead. Jackson made eight free throws down the stretch to secure the win. Freshman Latoya Howell had a terrific game, scoring seven points and notching five assists and six steals. Five players had four rebounds, and all 13 players on the Falcons roster had at least one rebound. The team forced 32 Titan turnovers and had 17 steals. Air Force made 18-of-54 (.333 percent) field goal attempts, but was 0-for-11 from beyond the arc. Tamara Quinn led Fullerton with 14 points, and teammate Heather Hansen had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double.
