CAL STATE FULLERTON 2003: A fine all-around rookie season, Meister averaged 1.85 kpg, led the team at 1.03 bpg, and served-up a team-best 24 aces • her 185 kills ranked fourth on the team • her 12 block solos ranked No. 1 on the team, as did her 91 block assists • one of only two players (Alyssa Opeka) to appear in 100 games Titans • named to the Four Points Classic All-Tournament Team • hit a team-high .222 on the year • tallied a career-best 17 kills at UC Riverside on Nov. 1 • had seven total blocks twice and a career-best three block solos vs. UCR on Oct. 4 • named to the all-tournament team at Fullerton's Four Points Classic. HIGH SCHOOL: Was a highly decorated prep star at Valley H.S. in West Des Moines, Iowa • Two-time all-district and all-state pick • Earned all-conference honors three times • Holds the Valley H.S. career record for blocks • Led her team in blocks, kills and digs as a senior • Member of the National Honor Society and the National Council on Youth Leadership. PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 25, 1985, in Clinton, Iowa • Parents are Raymond and Mary Jo Meister • Majoring in biology and pre-med with the hopes of becoming a physician • Also considered attending Northern Iowa, South Carolina, Wichita State and Fordham, but chose Fullerton because of the coaching staff, pre-med advisor and the Big West Conference • Favorite TV show is SportsCenter.
