CAL STATE FULLERTON 2003: One of Cal State Fullerton's strongest blockers, Dial ranked second on the team with 1.02 bpg • averged 1.67 kpg and hit .177 on the season • tallied a season-best 10 kills in a home contest against Cal Poly on Oct. 25 in a match where she also hit a season-best .500 • notched a season-high eight blocks in a win at UC Riverside on Nov. 1 and added seven total blocks in her next match against Cal State Northridge • had a season-best seven digs in a home loss to Idaho on Nov. 14. 2002: Led the Titans with a .193 attack percentage while averaging 2.19 kills per game • Also the Titans’ top blocker with 0.55 per game and had just eight blocking errors • Had a career-high 14 kills and a .367 attack percentage and four blocks in a near-win over Pacific on Oct. 26 • Had double figures in kills on seven other occasions, including 10 (without an error) against Iona on Aug. 31. 2001: Appeared in 18 matches • A serving specialist who tallied 13 aces, Dial was tied for fourth in aces per game (0.25) • Had 83 digs for a 1.60 average • Three times she racked up double figures in digs, including a season-high 19 in a five-game win at UC Irvine on Sept. 28. HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-time first-team all-conference and all-state selection at Evergreen H.S. in Evergreen, Colo. • Captained the team her senior year and was named “Best of the Best at Middle Blocker for 2000” by the Rocky Mountain News • Twice named Canyon Courier Athlete of the Week • Was on the honor roll five semesters and was a Colorado Business Week scholar. PERSONAL: Born on Feb. 10, 1983, in Wheatridge, Colo. • Parents are Sheila and Milton Dial • Has an older brother, Zachary (20) • Majoring in human services • Says her most prized possession is her height • Active in the PEP Program, which creates opportunities for disabled children to participate in athletics, and also supports programs for the elderly.
