APRIL BLISS Student Assistant Coach 1st Season

Former Cal State Fullerton letter winner April Bliss returns to the team in 2004, entering her first year on the sidelines as a student manager.

Bliss lettered for the Titans in 2002-03 as a defensive specialist, playing in all but one match as a junior and ranking fourth on the squad with 18 aces and fifth at 2.32 digs per game. As a senior, Bliss appeared in 27 of 30 matches, tallying 11 service aces and ranking third with 2.40 dpg.

Prior to her career in a Titan uniform, Bliss played two seasons at Cabrillo College in Aptos, Calif., earning first-team all-conference honors as a sophomore.

No stranger to the sideliens, Bliss coached three years for the Bay Volleyball Club in Santa Cruz and was involved in taking over an entire volleyball program at Scott’s

Valley High School where she co-coached both J.V. and Varsity teams.
Currently a senior at Cal State Fullerton, Bliss will graduate this spring with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
