Cal State Fullerton's Carley Dial and Lauren Goins each reached double-digit
kills and the Titans hit a combined .323 as a team as Fullerton completed
its second-straight sweep, downing San Jose State by the scores of 30-22,
30-18, 30-20, in Saturday's first match at the Four Points Titan Classic.
Fullerton improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the tourney. San Jose State
fell to 4-1 overall.
Goins had 12 kills and 11 digs, Dial had 11 kills and four blocks on the
afternoon to lead. Three Titans hit better than .300, led by Dial's .389.
San Jose State hit .052 as a team and was led by Jennifer Senftleben's
14 kills.
The Titans served up eight aces and capitalized on 31 hitting errors by
the Spartans.
