Erica Menzel had 15 kills and 13 digs and Kristin Nelson had 23 digs as
No. 19 UC Santa Barbara swept Cal State Fullerton (30-18, 30-27, 30-28)
in a Big West Conference volleyball match at Titan Gym Friday night.
The Gauchos, who are 46-0 all-time against Fullerton, improved to 12-6
overall and 8-2 in Big West play. The Titans fell to 7-15 and 1-9.
Santa Barbara, which rallied from a 19-13 deficit in the third game, outhit
the Titans, .280 to .168, though the Titans had the edge in blocks, 6
to 4.
Fullerton was paced by Lauren Goins, who had 14 kills and a .353 attack
percentage to go along with 10 digs. It marked Goins' ninth double-double
this season. Jenna Carney had 28 assists and Anya Ferry had 16 digs.
