Lauren Goins had a season-high 25 kills – one off her career high
– to lead Cal State Fullerton to a five-game win over UC Riverside
in a Big West Conference volleyball match at Titan Gym Saturday night.
The Titans, who won, 30-26, 25-30, 30-26, 20-30, 15-6, snapped a four-match
losing streak and improved to 7-9 overall and 1-4 in Big West Conference
play. The Highlanders fell to 7-9 and 2-3.
Anya Ferry had a season-high 25 digs to pace the Titan defense and April
Bliss had 17. Elena Goldena had 11 kills and Jenna Carney had 56 assists.
The Highlanders were paced by Rosanna Parizek, who had 24 kills, and Jamie
DeKiewiet, who had 18 kills and 21 digs. Kym Murphy had 58 assists.
The Titans will travel to San Diego State on Tuesday before hosting Pacific
(Friday) and Cal State Northridge (Saturday) in Big West action next weekend.
The Highlanders will also host Northridge and Pacific next weekend.
