Valparaiso Wins Four Points Tourney; CSF Second
Aug. 30 , 2003 – Fullerton, Calif.

Tournament MVP Liz Mikos led Valparaiso University to a pair of victories Saturday to run the Crusaders' record to 4-0 and capture the championship of the season-opening Four Points Sheraton Women's Volleyball Tournament at Cal State Fullerton.

Valparaiso beat both Nevada (30-21, 30-28, 30-22) and Fordham (30-25, 30-22, 30-28) by 3-0 scores.

Host Cal State Fullerton also won twice Saturday by 3-0 scores over Bucknell (30-27, 30-23, 30-17) and Nevada (30-18, 30-24, 30-16) to finish 3-1 in the tourney and take second place. Nevada was third at 2-2 followed by Fordham at 1-3 and Bucknell at 0-4.

Joining Mikos on the all-tourney team were Roxanne Hill of Fordham, Tristin Adams and Salaia Salave'a of Nevada, Amy Dixon and Melanie Meister of Cal State Fullerton and Cyndi Norman of Valparaiso.
