2001: Was one of just three Titans to appear in all 26 matches • Considered a “utility player,” Owen was fifth in kills with 118 (1.34 per game), third in assists with 20 (0.23 per game) and sixth in digs with 118 (1.34 per game) • Had a season-high 12 kills at Cal State Northridge on Oct. 18, when she also tallied 11 digs • Had double figures in kills one other time and in digs on three other occasions • Had a career-high five blocks (one-third of her season total) at UC Irvine on Sept. 28.

2000: Appeared in 64 games for the Titans as an “all-purpose” player, racking up 40 kills, 30 assists, 73 digs and 13 blocks • Had perhaps her best match against UC Riverside on Sept. 9, when she notched seven kills (with just one error), 10 digs and three assists • Had a season-high eight kills against Boise State on Sept. 22 • Against Utah State on Sept. 22, she had seven kills, eight digs and three blocks.

High School: Was a standout at Los Alamitos H.S. • Named first-team All-Sunset League • Also the team captain of Club Long Beach, where she played for Joy McKienzie • Was an honor roll student.

Personal: Born on July 26, 1982, in Long Beach • Parents are Rick and Lisa Owen • Has two siblings (Jessica, 15, and Mallory, 12) • Wants to pursue a career in marine biology • Considered Hawaii and Arizona State, but chose Fullerton because of the location and the coaching staff • Favorite song is Free Falling by Tom Petty • Favorite sports personality is Magic Johnson.
