Stockdale H.S.
Kern River Volleyball Club

2001: Turned in another fantastic season, leaving her within striking distance of Fullerton’s career assists record (she needs 775 to surpass Stephanie Shrieve’s tally of 3,388 set from 1988-91) • Levey also improved to third on the all-time digs list with 907, though Stephanie Scofield’s mark of 1,393 is probably safe • Finished second in the Big West Conference with 3.66 digs per game (333 total) • Tallied 1,038 assists (11.41 per game) and had 85 kills (0.93 per game) • Also tied for first on the Titans with 23 service aces • Had the Titans’ only triple-double of the season against UC Irvine on Oct. 27, when she tallied a season-high 11 kills, 61 assists and 18 digs • Had double-figures in digs 18 times, with a season-best 29 (the fourth-most in Titan history) vs. Cal State Northridge on Sept. 19 • Had 11 matches without a ballhandling error.

2000: Became the Titans’ primary setter and averaged 10.43 assists per game • A deceptive setter with an attack mentality, Levey also put down 1.36 kills per game for Fullerton and had the fourth-best attack percentage (.172) on the team • Her 3.06 digs per game were third most on the Titans and she was also third with 23 blocks and 17 service aces • Had double figures in assists in all but one match, including a school-record 97 in a five-game match at Texas Christian on Sept. 16 • Had two triple-doubles, both vs. UC Irvine: 10 kills, 49 assists, 21 digs on Oct. 7 and 15 kills, 35 assists and 15 digs on Nov. 4.

1999: One of two freshman setters to contribute significantly for the Titans • Finished with 480 assists (5.33 per game), but missed some of the season with an achilles tendon injury • Had a high of 61 assists at New Mexico State on Nov. 3.

High School: Earned first-team all-area honors in two seasons of her four-year prep career, along with being named to the all-leage team twice and claiming 1998 league MVP accolades • Was also a four-year honor roll member, while winning the 1997 student-athlete award at Stockdale H.S • Won three volleyball festivals as a member of the Kern River 18 gold team.

Personal: Born September 30, 1981, in Bakersfield • Parents are Cheryl and Gary • Has an older sister, Jill • Majoring in business administration • Chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because of its Big West Conference affiliation • Also considered attending Utah State, Boise State and McNeese State • Would like to see Stanford added to the Titans’ schedule • Says high school Coach Mariz Collatz has had the most influence on her career • Would like to meet Colin Powell • Loves Chinese food and enjoys tennis, golf and cooking big dinners.
