2001: One of the Titans most valuable freshman, Goins appeared in 20 matches Solid all-around player who averaged 0.69 kills and 1.96 digs per game Blossomed late in the season and took advantage of extra playing time over the last pair of home games, tallying 12 kills vs. Cal Poly on Nov. 9 and following up with 13 kills against UC Santa Barbara a night later Reached double figures in digs four times, with a season-high 12 against Loyola Marymount on Oct. 30. HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Coach Troy Abbey at Southern California powerhouse La Habra H.S. Helped the Highlanders to a pair of CIF Southern Section championships (1998, 2000) and also to a state runner-up showing as a senior Earned All-Freeway League honors as a senior and was named the leagues Scholar Athlete of the Year Was also a league champion in badminton and played soccer as well for La Habra.
