Drop Nonconference Match at Nevada Sept. 28 , 2002 Reno, Nev. Box Score Michelle More had a match high 21 kills as Nevada (12-2) beat Cal State Fullerton (4-12), 30-27, 30-19, 30-26 in a non-conference volleyball match in Reno, Nev. Saturday night. Saturday's first game was tied nine times with the last coming at 19-19. Nevada scored the next three points to go in front 22-19 and held on for the 30-27 game one victory. Freshman, Christine Harms led the offense with five kills while another freshman, Jacqueline Randolph led the defense with five digs. Couwenhoven had 11 assists. The second game was all Pack as Nevada scored the first point and never trailed in winning by 11, 30-19 to take a commanding two games to none lead. Nevada's largest lead of the game was 12 when they doubled the score on the Titans 24-12. More had seven kills in the game with freshman, Salaia Salvea chipping in five kills. Randolph again led the defense with five digs while Couwenhoven had 16 assists. Nevada jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the final game and increased the advantage to 10, 23-13 but CSF would not go away scoring six unanswered points to pull with four, 23-19. Leading 29-26 More capped of the record breaking night with a kill off a Couwenhoven assist to give the Pack the game 30-26 and match 3-0. More's match ending kill was her 11th of the final game. Randolph had six digs and Couwenhoven 20 assists in the final game. Following More's 21 kill performance was Harms with 11 kills in the match. More also had a match high five blocks, two solo and three assisted. Randolph had a match high 16 digs and Couwenhoven's 47 assists was also a match high. Lauren Goins led CSF with 14 kills while setter, Kim Levey finished with a double-double, 16 assists and 12 digs. The Pack hit just .196 but held CSF to a .071 attack percentage. The Titans outblocked Nevada eight to six.
