LMU Hands Fullerton Sixth Consecutive Loss

Senior Kristen Gallup had 12 kills and 10 digs to lead the Loyola Marymount volleyball team to a three-game sweep over Cal State Fullerton Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

The Lions moved to 7-3 overall, while the Titans drop to 4-8 in the 30-21, 30-19, 30-22 decision.

With the opening game tied at nine, LMU scored seven of the next nine points to open a 16-11 advantage. The Lions continued to serve solidly, while the Titans struggled as LMU cruised to the 30-21 victory. A Gallup service ace and a Titan hitting error capped the game.

In game two, the Lions dominated, with a 30-19 triumph. Gallup and Kealani Kimball had four kills each. LMU continued to roll in the third game, opening a nine-point advantage at 25-16, following a Look kill. The final point came as Houseman and Tiana Newsome stuffed CSF's Lauren Goins, who led the Titans with 12 kills.

Fullerton will open Big West Conference play at UC Riverside on Saturday night.
