Hand Titans 23rd Consecutive Setback Nov. 15 , 2002 – San Luis Obispo, Calif. Sophomore standout Jessica Diepersloot recorded her 11th double double in the Mustangs to a three-game sweep over Cal State Fullerton in a Big West Conference volleyball match in Mott Gym on Friday. Game scores went 30-19, 30-28 and 30-25. With the win the Mustangs improve to 12-11 overall and 11-4 in conference play while CS Fullerton remains winless in conference play at 0-16 and falls to 4-25 overall. The Titans have lost their last 23 matches. Diepersloot led the Mustang offense with 15 kills and tied senior Carly O'Halloran (Nipomo, CA) for the team-high of 12 digs. Senior Worthy Lien (La Habra, CA) added 13 kills on 23 swings (435) and a team-high six blocks. Molly Duncan (Carlsbad, CA) added 10 digs. Lauren Goins and Carli Ross led the Titans with 10 kills each. Setter Kim Levey led the team with 19 digs. Renee Vignery added 13 digs for CSF in the loss. Cal Poly hit .304 with 56 kills and nine blocks in the win while Cal State Fullerton hit .165 with 43 kills and one block. The Mustangs forced the Titans into seven more hitting errors (14-21) and added three more service aces (7-4). Fullerton will play at UC Santa Barbara Saturday night.
