Titans' Four-Match Win Streak Snapped by Utah St Oct. 6, 2001 Fullerton, Calif.

Lisa Borom had 28 kills and hit .373 on the match as the Utah State womens
volleyball team beat Cal State Fullerton, 30-25, 29-31, 30-24, 30-22,
in a Big West Conference match at Titan Gym Saturday night.
The Aggies improved to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play, while the
Titans had their four-match winning streak snapped and fell to 7-6 and
3-3.
All four games of Saturdays match were closely contested, but the
Titans were only able to come out on top in the second game. Fullerton
had to dodge a Utah State game-point situation before rallying for the
31-29 win.
Michelle Matheson had 10 kills for the Aggies and Chelsi Neves had 59
assists. The Titans were led by Katie Crawford, who had 20 kills and an
outstanding .500 attack percentage. Be Holcombe had 15 kills and Kim Levey
had 52 assists.
A season-high crowd of 288 was on hand for Remember the Titans
night, a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Titan volleyball.
Fullerton will take to the road this week with Big West Conference matches
at Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly.
