Titans Make Quick Work of Texas Pan-American

Megan Sabo had 15 kills and a .480 attack percentage to lead the Cal State Fullerton volleyball team to a 30-18, 30-16, 30-18 sweep of Texas-Pan American in a nonconference volleyball game at Titan Gym Saturday night.

The Titans, who needed just 1:15 to post the win, improved to 5-5 overall on the season while the Lady Broncs fell to 1-12.

Fullerton’s performance was by far its most dominating of the season. The Titans had a better attack percentage (.304 to -.031), more blocks (10 to 5) and more digs (46 to 36) than the Lady Broncs. As a team, Texas-Pan Am managed just 21 kills in the match.

The Titans’ Be Holcombe, who had nine blocks vs. UC Irvine on Friday, had five more against the Lady Broncs and also had nine kills. Kim Levey had 40 assists for Fullerton.

The Titans resume Big West Conference play on Tuesday, when they host UC Riverside in a match that was originally scheduled for Sept. 12. They will also host Idaho and Utah State next weekend.
