Titans Drop a Pair of Matches at Reno Tourney

Senior middle blocker Be Holcombe was named to her second all-tournament team in as many weeks, but the Cal State Fullerton volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Saturday at the Sands Regency/Nevada Bell Invitational in Reno.

The Titans (3-3) were swept by St. Mary's in their first match on Saturday, losing, 28-30, 27-30, 29-31. Kim Levey had 26 assists and 21 digs to pace the Titans and Holcombe hammered down 12 kills. The Titans' had an attack percentage of just .033 on the match and were outblocked, 14-7.

In the evening match, Fullerton fell to the host Wolfpack, 30-20, 30-15, 30-14. Holcombe again was the only Titan to reach double figures in kills with 10.

Fullerton now opens a stretch of six straight home matches, beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m. with the Big West Conference opener against UC Riverside.
