Beach Sweeps Titans to Stay Undefeated Oct. 26, 2001 – Fullerton, Calif. Box Score Tayyiba Haneef hit .419 and had 17 kills to pace top-ranked Long Beach State to a 30-17, 30-17, 30-21 sweep of Cal State Fullerton in a Big West Conference match Friday night at Titan Gym. The 49ers remained undefeated, improving to 17-0 overall and 10-0 in conference. They also beat the Titans for the 39th consecutive time. Fullerton, which has lost seven in a row, fell to 7-12 overall and 3-9 in conference. Fullerton held brief leads in each of the three games, but the 49ers were never really threatened. Player of the Year candidate Cheryl Weaver had 15 kills and an attack percentage of .407 for Long Beach, which hit .333 as a team. The Titans, who hit -.009 on the night, got a match-high six kills from Megan Sabo. Kim Levey had 20 assists. Fullerton will host UC Irvine on Saturday night while the 49ers will travel to UC Riverside.
