Titans Let Early Lead Slip Away vs. UC

Cal State Fullerton let an early lead slip away on Thursday afternoon
as visiting UC Riverside won the final four singles matches of the day
to clinch a 4-3 Big West Conference victory at the Titan Tennis Courts.
The Titans took the early 1-0 lead, winning two of three doubles matches.
The duos of Gina Le and Ruya Inalpulat posted an 8-4 win at No. 2 while
Caroline Freeman and Chip Dunbar triumphed 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
Fullerton continued to roll winning at No. 5 and No. 6 singles in straight
sets with Freeman and Dunbar emerging victorious.
However, the Highlanders bounced back, claiming wins at Nos. 1-4 singles
to clinch the match, including three-set victories by Michelle Beyronneau
(7-6, 4-6, 6-1) at No. 1 and H.R. Espiritu (6-2, 2-6, 6-4) at No. 3.
