GAME NOTES: Pacific scored the game's first run on
an RBI single by Brandi Gordon, but exploded in the third for five runs
thanks to a pair of RBI doubles from Crystal Presson and Lauren Sandelin
and an RBI single from Michelle Anunciation... The Tigers added six more
in the sixth (all with two outs) on RBI doubles from Anunciation and Jennifer
Curtier, a two-run single from Ashlie D'Errico, and a two-run home run
by Presson to make it 12-0... Alyce Jorgensen scattered just two hits
and striking out two in the six-inning complete game.
GAME NOTES: Illinois State exploded for six runs
in the fifth inning to break open a close game and defeate Boston College...
Jen Wright was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for the Redbirds
while three other players had two hits... Boston College had four players
with hits, including Britney Thompson, who drove in the Eagles' only run...
Shannon Nicholson went the distance for Illinois State, scattering just
four hits and striking out two... Thompson suffered the loss, allowing
six runs on nine hits and striking out four in four innings.

GAME NOTES: Oregon State struck first, loading the
bases in the third thanks to a pair of walks and a double down the left
field line... That brought up Kelly Petersen, who promptly singled to
center, driving in a pair for the 2-0 lead... The Beavers added three
more in the third (all unearned) thanks to three Minnesota errors in the
inning to complete the scoring... McGowan struck out seven while allowing
just two hits in the complete-game win... Peyer struck out six for Minnesota
while allowing two earned runs on four hits.

Nevada players had hits... Cooper's home run came in the first as the
first four batters reached for the Wildcats en route to the 3-0 lead...
Northwestern added three more in the third on a wild pitch and a pair
of RBI singles by Ashley Crane and Katie Logan... Logan added another
RBI single in the fifth to cap the scoring.

with a pair of home runs and three RBI and Anna Beardman went 3-for-3
with three runs batted in as the Cardinal defeated Boston College... Lauren
Nydam allowed just one hit in the shutout victory... Michelle Daly suffered
the loss, allowing four earned on 10 hits while striking out one... Leah
Nelson was also 3-for-3 for Stanford.
GAME NOTES: Fullerton freshman Kiki Munoz was 2-for-3
while Marissa Marzan scattered just three hits as the Titans won their
Worth Invitational opener... Fullerton scored first in the fourth as Candice
Baker scored on a fielding error by the shortstop and then added three
more runs in the sixth on five straight hits to open the inning, including
run-scoring singles by Baker, Van Boxmeer, and Marzan... In the circle,
Marzan struck out five and settled down after the Falcons loaded the bases
in the first, but stranded all three runners.
GAME NOTES: Lindsey Bashor and Kiki Munoz each hit
home runs and Candice Baker struck out eight while allowing only two eanred
runs as the Titans opened 2-0 at the Worth Invitational... Baker went
the distance in improving to 4-1 overall, allowing just three hits...
Amanda Kamekona was 4-for-4 while Bashor, Baker, and Munoz each added
a pair of hits... For Munoz, it was her first career home run while Bashor
smacked her third of the season... Illinois State got a run in the fourth
on an error and Mandy Garner got the Redbirds closer with a two-run shot
to center to make it 7-3, but Baker induced Tricia Gaither to ground out
and end the game.
GAME NOTES: Alana Mendoza drew a bases loaded walk
in the fifth inning to snap a 3-3 tie and the Beavers added a pair of
insurance runs in the seventh to defeat Pacific... Sherina Galvan and
Adrienne Alo had RBI singles in the seventh to ensure the victory for
OSU... Alo was 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs to lead Oregon State... Lizzie
Hagen was 2-for-3 for the Tigers while Ashlie D'Errico hit a two-run home
run in the third to tie the game... Ta'Tyanna McElroy earned the win,
allowing three runs on six hits... Brianne McGowan earned her second save
of the year, tossing three innings of shutout softball with four K's...
Natalie King earned the loss for Pacific, allowing four runs on four hits
in five innings, walking six.

GAME NOTES: Eileen Canney surrendered just three
hits and Kristen Amegin smacked a two-run home run in the third to break
open a tight game as the Wildcats upset No. 3 Stanford, handing the Cardinal
only their second loss of the season... Canney went the distance for the
victory, allowing just one run and striking out four... the Wildcats scored
again in the fifth on a two base error, plating Erin Mobley, and added
another in the sixth on an RBI single by Stephanie Churchwell to make
it 6-1.
GAME NOTES: Nevada's offense smacked three home runs
to jump out to the early lead, but Bowling Green threatened late, scoring
twice in the seventh but stranding the tying runners in scoring position...
Kristin Stith, Candice Rainwater, and Jiliane Hatfiel all hit home runs
for the Wolfpack, but Nevada had to rely on Jordan McPherson in relief
in the circle to nail down the win... Rainwater had two hits for Nevada
while three players had two hits for the Falcons... Gina Rango had a pair
of RBI for BGSU on the night. ####
