SOFTBALL PLAYERS
CAL STATE FULLERTON 2004 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 50 games, starting 48 • hit .217 with four home runs and 11 RBI in her first season at the Division I level • hit her first career home run in 3-1 loss to No. 10 Louisiana-Lafayette at the Kia Klassic • also hit a two-run home run to win the first game of a doubleheader with Northwestern (Mar. 24) • knocked her first career hit in a win over Texas (Feb. 13) • had a career-best two hits eight different times • VACAVILLE HS Played four years of varsity softball, all as a middle infielder • hit better than .350 all four seasons for the Bulldogs • a four-time All-Monticello Empire League honoree • earned the team’s Most Outstanding Offensive Player award as a sophomore, hitting .400 on the year • named team captain her final two seasons • League Player of the Year as a senior and earned the Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year award • team was CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Champions in 2003 • named to the CIF academic honor roll her freshman-junior seasons. PERSONAL Born March 13, 1985, in Vallejo, Calif. • parents are Mark and Eva • has a younger brother, Zachary • intends to major in kinesiology with hopes of coaching Division I softball and head into the sports medicine field • also considered UCLA, Cal Poly, Arizona State, UC Davis, Cal State Northridge, and Saint Mary’s • selected Cal State Fullerton because of the coaching staff, the university, the location and the softball program.
