UCSB finally broke through against the sophomore right-hander in the seventh as Karyna Wilkerson led off with a single and scored two batters later on Brittany Putich's home run that made it 3-2. A walk to Shelby Hensler forced Weekley out of the game in favor of Candice Baker, who got a strikeout and a fly ball to end the game and nail down her second save of the season. Jennifer Davis (8-5) suffered the loss for the Gauchos despite striking out 10 batters for the game. GAME 2: Cal State Fullerton 1, UC Santa Barbara 0 (10 innings) Sophomore Ashley Van Boxmeer blasted her fourth home run of the season with one out in the 10th for the game's lone run as the Titans swept the doubleheader. Candice Baker (6-5) earned the win in relief, allowing just one hit in four innings, walking three and striking out five. Both teams combined to leave 16 on base (10 for UCSB), including the Titans leaving runners in scoring position in the eighth and ninth. The Gauchos had the best chances to score early on, putting runners at second and third with no outs in the second, and runners at second base in the sixth and third base in the eighth inning. Four different Titans had hits for Fullerton, including singles by Lindsey Bashor, Baker, and Marzan. ####
