Bashor Earns Final Player of the Week

Cal State Fullerton senior outfielder Lindsey Bashor earned the final
Big West Player of the Week honor for the 2005 season after closing out
the regular season with a powerful weekend against Cal State Northridge.
Bashor, who earned her first career conference weekly honor, hit .545
(6-for-11) at the plate, including a pair of grand slams against the Matadors.
She slugged her first slam in Friday's opener, putting the Titans up 5-0
at the time en route to the 6-3 victory.
After a 3-for-4 effort in game two, Bashor put an exclamation point on
her senior season, blasting her second grand slam to make the score 7-1
in the Titans' 8-3 victory.
Bashor scored three times and drove in nine more on the weekend. She tallied
a 1.182 slugging percentage and .583 on base percentage against the Matadors.
Cal State Fullerton returns to action this weekend, facing second-seeded
UNLV at the 2005 NCAA regional tournament hosted by UCLA. The Titans,
seeded third in the four-team competition, and Rebels open tournament
play on Friday (May 20) at 12 p.m. at Easton Stadium.
