2002 (SOPHOMORE):
Vasquez transferred to Cal State Fullerton in the summer of 2002 after spending her first two years at Santa Ana College • named to the All-Orange Empire Conference first team as the only returning starter for the Lady Dons • Vasquez hit .377 overall with 13 stolen bases and 24 runs scored • also led Santa Ana College in every offensive statistical category except RBI • was named team MVP and earned the team’s Best Offensive Player award.

2001 (FRESHMAN): Vasquez was a first-team All-Orange Empire Conference selection for the Lady Dons, hitting .395 on the year and slugging .563 on the season to earn second-team JC All-American honors • also drove in 29 runs, stole 24 bases and broke the school’s single-season record with 46 runs scored • tallied 10 doubles and six triples on the year • ranked in a tie for second among first-team all-conference selections with 11 stolen bases • named to the 2001 Hyundai California Community College Softball Championship All-Tournament Team.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY HS
Played one season of softball for the Barons, earning first-team All-Sunset League honors as a senior • also made the honor roll.

PERSONAL
Born Dec. 22, 1981, in Santa Ana • Parents are Sharon and Roland • one of five children, but the only girl, has three older brothers (Marcus, Moses and Justin) and a younger brother (Martin) • wants to become a social worker after graduation.
