May 5, 2003 – Fullerton, Calif.

Cal State Fullerton senior Jenny Topping was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week on Monday after her stellar performance in leading the No. 7 Titans to a doubleheader sweep of Cal Poly on Sunday.

It is the 11th career award for Topping, who holds the Big West record for most career Player of the Week citations. She has won the award four times this season, the most of any player in the league.

Topping was 6-for-7 (.857) in the doubleheader against the Mustangs with a double, home run and five RBI. The home run in game two was the 30th of her career, moving her into sole possession of second place all-time on the Big West and Cal State Fullerton career home run lists.

Topping was 3-for-3 in game one with an RBI single and was 3-for-4 in game two with the home run, a run scoring double and four RBI. She slugged 1.429 for the day and notched an on-base percentage of .875.
