(Freshman): Appeared in 19 games, starting five • hit .417 on the year (5-for-12) with five runs scored, one double, and five RBI • sat out the last few weeks of the season after having surgery on her right knee • also walked twice and struck out three times • had her first collegiate hit and drove in the first two RBI of her career against Notre Dame in the semifinals of the 2001 Kia Klassic • had her best day against Northwestern (3/20), going 2-for-2 at the plate with a double, a walk, and a run scored • also drove in two runs in the second game of a doubleheader against Sacramento State.

OAKMONT HS: Played four years of varsity softball under head coach Skip Ayers • named all-league in her senior year and helped lead the Vikings to two trips to the CIF playoffs in 1997 and 2000 • named to the school's scholar-athlete list three times (1997, 98, 2000) • also played basketball and volleyball • named all-league in volleyball in 1999 • competed for the California Breeze, winning nationals in the summer of 1999 • also helped lead the Breeze to three second-place finishes and one third-place finish.

PERSONAL: Born October 22, 1982, in Alturas • full name is Jennifer Marie Holt • her uncle played volleyball at Stanford and her father played baseball at Cal Poly • Holt is a communications major at Cal State Fullerton and hopes to work in television after graduation • chose Fullerton over Louisiana State and UC Santa Barbara because of the coaches and her teammates.
