Titans Capture Third Straight Big West Title

Jodie Cox earned her 17th win and Jenny Topping went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI as ninth-ranked Cal State Fullerton beat Cal Poly, 4-3, on Saturday to clinch its third straight Big West Conference championship. The Titans finished a game ahead of Pacific, which split a doubleheader with Cal State Northridge on Friday.

The Titans, who capped the regular season with a 50-11 overall record and 22-2 conference mark, will learn their postseason fate on Sunday at 6 p.m., when the NCAA Regional sites and pairings are announced on ESPN News.

Cox pitched 6.1 strong innings to improve to 17-4 and Christy Robitaille threw the final two-thirds to notch her second save on Saturday. Yasmin Mossadeghi went 2-for-2 with two RBI.
