FULLERTON: A highly regarded player who has had difficulty getting onto and staying on the pitch for the Titans... Had a solid 2003 season after a deficiency resulting from his role on the U.S. U-16 and U-17 teams forced him to sit out the 2002 season without being able to practice with the team... Played in 17 games in 2003 and started 16 of them... Credited with two assists... But suffered a knee injury in the opener of the 2004 season and is unlikely to return to action. HIGH SCHOOL: One of the top players in Southern California in 2002 along with twin brother Mario for Coach Juan Sanchez at Diamond Ranch High School in Diamond Bar... Was CIF Player of the Year as a senior... Four-year letterman... Missed part of his sophomore season to play for the U-17 national team... Team MVP as a junior and offensive player of the year as a freshman. PERSONAL: Born on Feb. 10, 1984, in Santa Monica, California... Parents are Jorge and Henrietta Rodriguez... Has an older brother, Ricardo, as well as a twin, Mario... Undeclared major... Played club soccer with JUSA... Hopes to play professional soccer... Has played for the U-16 and U-17 national teams including six months in residency on the latter... Enjoys music and friends.
