High School in Mission Viejo... Orange County Register first-team All-Orange
County selection... Third-team All-CIF pick and first-team All-South Coast
League selection as a senior... Earned school's Scholar-Athlete Award three
times... Also played two years of baseball... Class valedictorian and served
as ASB multi-cultural commissioner in student government... Was freshman
class president and member of the national honor society.
PERSONAL: Born on Nov. 20, 1982, in Lansing, Michigan...
Parents are Dennis and Carol Barnes... Has two brothers, Scott and Mark,
and one older sister, Lori... Business and kinesiology major... Hopes to
combine a business career with athletics... Chose Cal State Fullerton because
of the strength of the soccer and business programs... Enjoys surfing and
volunteer work... In the summer referees soccer matches... Credits father
Dennis for starting and supporting his soccer career... Played club soccer
for the Wolfpack (U19 Premier), Pateadores (U15, U16 & U17), Mission
Viejo Soccer Club (U14) and Saddleback Valley Soccer Club (U13).
