RUTGERS: Played in all but four matches for the Scarlet Knights last year in an 8-8-3 season (5-4 in the Big East)... Had 3 assists... Made one start, in a 1-1 tie vs. eventual national champion UCLA.

HIGH SCHOOL: Won numerous awards after three-year varsity career at East Brunswick High School... All-American, all-state first-team, All-NSCAA regional team, all-area and county player of the year for Coach Dan Hayston... Third-team all-state as a junior, when he also was first-team all-county... For his career he scored 48 goals and had 30 assists.

PERSONAL: Born on Apr. 20, 1984, in Staten Island, New York... Parents are Elan and Angela Shlomi... Business administration major who hopes to go into the resort business, either in hotel or restaurant management... Chose Fullerton because of its good business school and soccer program... Played club soccer for FC Delco, which won a national championship in 2003... Credits Coach Bob Reasso for most influence on his soccer career: "Don't let anyone get the best of you; use criticism to make you stronger."
