Reynolds Earns Share of Big West Award Nov. 3, 2003– Irvine, Calif.
Cal State Fullerton junior goalkeeper Sam Reynolds (Davis, Calif.) and
UC Irvine junior goalkeeper Cameron Rossi (Mission Viejo, Calif.) have
been named Big West Conference men's soccer co-Players of the Week.
Reynolds helped the Titans upset Cal State Northridge, holding the Matadors
to just one goal, which was on a penalty kick. For the week Reynolds allowed
just one goal in 203 minutes of action with 19 saves. Rossi helped the
Anteaters to an upset victory against UCSB with a 1-0 shutout victory.
For the week, Rossi posted two shutouts and 27 saves in 200 minutes of
action. Head-to-head, both Reynolds and Rossi were spectacular in a scoreless
tie on Saturday night.
