FULLERTON: A key offensive player for the Titans the past two seasons... In 2001 he was the No. 2 scorer with 14 points on 6 goals and 2 assists... Appeared in all 20 matches including 11 as a starter... In 2000 he played in all but one match and started 7 times... Was fifth on the team with 12 points and 5 goals... Had the game-winning goal in the 12th minute of overtime vs. Gonzaga on Sept. 15 at Loyola Marymount Tournament... Had the only score of the match in a 1-0 victory at San Diego State on Oct. 6... Sat out his true freshman season in 1999.

HIGH SCHOOL: Co-CIF Player of the Year and MVP of the CIF Finals in 1998 for Coach Cameron Beaulac at Long Beach Poly High... Scored 11 goals in CIF championship tournament play... Three-year varsity letterman... Led team in scoring all three seasons... Honor roll student all four years with a 3.93 gpa... Played club soccer for NHB.

PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 8, 1981, in Long Beach, California... Parents are Jimmy and Jureldeen Whitfield... Has an older brother, Bryan... Health promotion and kinesiology major... Most memorable sports thrill was scoring two goals in the CIF Finals to beat Damien.
