ANTHONY BOLTON
Guard/Forward
6-7 • 190
Junior
JC
Vista, CA
Palomar CC

Anthony Bolton will try to make an immediate impact on the Titans' squad in 2002-03... Will create match-up problems with his height in the backcourt... "Anthony will give us depth on the wing," says Coach Daniels... "He's a very good perimeter player with excellent perimeter skills. He must concentrate on defending and he needs to build up his body and his strength, but with his size he should be able to post up and get himself to the foul line, where he was a 90 per cent foul shooter in junior college."

PALOMAR COLLEGE: Two-time first-team All-Mission Conference selection at Palomar College in San Marcos, California, while playing small forward and point guard... Twice most valuable player for the Comets... Earned all-state honors after his sophomore season when he averaged 19.7 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals while shooting 47 per cent from 3-point range and 56 percent overall from the floor... At the foul line hit 98 of 106 attempts for a 92.5 per centage, second best in the state to Eric Thompson of San Diego Mesa (81 of 87 for 93.1 per cent)... As a freshman averaged 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

VISTA HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year varsity letterman at Vista High School (class of 1999) in northern San Diego County... As a senior small forward was player of the year in the Palomar League... Also selected first-team All-North County and first-team All-CIF... Averaged 18 point, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals... As a junior was second-team all-league and second-team All-North County.... Played football as a freshman as a wide receiver and defensive back.

PERSONAL: Born on Apr. 13, 1981, in San Diego, CA... Mother is Annette Bolton of Vista... Has a brother, Christopher, and a sister, Chanell... Communications and education major who hopes to be a broadcaster, teacher and/or coach... Credits Coach Kevin Keller, John O'Neil and Virgil Watson for teaching him how to play hard... Enjoys watching basketball and football and playing video games.
