Christi beat Cal State Fullerton, 83-76, in the opener of the Hawaiian
Airlines Tip-Off Tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Titans, who played without center Babacar Camara and guard/forward
Brandon Campbell, trailed, 44-34, at the half. A quartet of Titan tallied
double figures in points, with newcomers Ralphy Holmes (17 points) and
Anthony Bolton (15 points) leading the way.
The game might have been determined at the free throw line the
Islanders were 23-of-28 on the night, while Fullerton was 14-of-20.
The Titans will play either Hawaii or Arkansas-Little Rock on Sunday at
5 p.m. or 7 p.m.
