to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 62-59 double overtime Big West Conference
victory over Idaho.
Pape Sow had a game-high 14 rebounds and scored 10 points including four

topped Idaho with 8 rebounds.
Bron Groomes had his first collegiate double-double for the Titans with
13 points and 11 rebounds in 41 minutes off the bench.
It was Fullerton's first double-OT win since going to Div. I in 1974-75.
The Titans had been 0-4 in such games.
Sow stepped out and hit a 3-point field goal in the first minute of the
second OT for a 59-56 lead the Titans would not surrender. He added one
of two free throws to make it 60-58 with 1:58 to play and Bron Groomes
hit a layup at 0:59 for the decisive points. Justin Logan's 3-point try
at the buzzer went long.
Logan sent the game into overtime when he hit one of two free throws with
10 seconds left in regulation. Fullerton's Bolton missed a shot at the
buzzer and CSF had the last shot of the first overtime but Groomes missed
a jumper..
After Idaho scored the first five points of the game, Fullerton led for
virtually all of regulation. It built an 8-point halftime edge at 28-20
but the Vandals scored on their first two possessions of the second half
and Fullerton never got more than 7 points ahead again. The Titans led,
52-46, with 1:07 in regulation but Holmes missed the front end of two
one-and-ones to set up a layup and a 3-pointer by Williams that set the
stage for Logan's free-throws tries.
Idaho hit 9 of 21 3-point field goals to help offset an overall 38 percent
effort from the floor. Fullerton shot 42 percent and made only 7 of 12
free throws.
The Titans play their final two road games of the season next week, traveling
to Pacific on Thursday and Cal State Northridge on Saturday.
