Andrew Maxie earned a "walk-on" spot on the Titans' squad last
year with his play in a campus wide open tryout session in early October,
but he did not appear in any games.
LA PUENTE HIGH SCHOOL: He was a three-year varsity letterman at La
Puente High for Coach Bob Poirot... Was a second-team All-Montview League
selection as a senior, averaging 17 points and 6.2 rebounds... Was selected
to the Don Lugo All-Tournament team... Also competed in track and field
as a junior and won all-league high jump honors... Won several scholar-athlete
awards.
PERSONAL: Born on May 20, 1982, in Los Angeles... Parents are Andrew
and Gloria Maxie... Has two younger sisters, Vivian and Andie... Art major
who hopes to become a computer graphic animator.
