Titans in CSF Home Opener Nov. 19, 2001 – Fullerton, Calif. Box Score Tayo Akinsete came off the bench to score 17 points and Darrell Tucker had a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds Monday night to lead Univ. of San Francisco to a 70-43 non-conference men's basketball victory at Cal State Fullerton. Pape Sow had 9 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Titans, who fell to 0-2. USF, which also got 16 points from Shamell Stallworth, evened its mark at 1-1. USF jumped to early leads of 6-0 and 23-9 and never was challenged. The Dons shot 54 per cent from the floor including 7 of 17 from 3-point range while holding Fullerton to 30 per cent shooting overall and 2 of 13 from behind the arc. Fullerton made only five baskets in the first half in 21 tries but managed 8 of 16 free throws in trailing, 30-18. USF's biggest lead was 63-33 with 6:00 left after a pair of Akinsete 3-pointers wrapped around a deuce by LyRyan Russell.
