Demetrius Jackson scored 13 points and Eli Kiedrowski and Mike Hahn each
added 10 Saturday night as Pacific beat Cal State Fullerton for the 13th
year in a row in Stockton, 82-48. The Tigers improved to 13-6 overall
and 5-4 in the Big West Conference while the Titans fell to 4-14 and 1-8.
Fullerton's Pape Sow took game honors with 15 points and 11 rebounds but
no other Titan managed to score in double figures.
Pacific trailed only briefly in the game at 7-5 before pulling away from
the depleted Titans, who suited only eight players and have only two frontline
players healthy in Sow and Babacar Camara. A Denver Lopez 3-pointer tied
the game at 12-12 with 12:55 to go in the first half before the Tigers
went on a 15-2 run to take a 27-14 lead and they never were threatened
again.
Fullerton returns home next week to host Long Beach State at 5:30 p.m.
on Thursday and UC Irvine on Saturday at 7 p.m. Both games will be televised
-- the Long Beach game on FOX Sports Net West 2 and the UCI game on KDOC,
Channel 56.
