TITANS ’02:
Started 47 games after getting just six at bats as a freshman • Platooned at first base, third base and DH early on, but was the everyday first baseman against right-handed pitching for the final couple of months • Hit .325+ from Feb. 10 on • Was 6-for-7 with a homer and six RBI as a pinch-hitter • Left a team-high 62 runners on base • Was hitting .404 at the tail-end of a 12-game hitting streak, which was snapped at Wichita State on Mar. 10 • Three times, he extended the streak with a pinch-hit • Blasted a two-run homer in a five-run fifth inning of the Titans’ 5-4 win over Nevada on Mar. 16 • Hit his first career homer – a ninth-inning pinch-hit blast – at ASU on Feb. 24 to give the Titans a cushion in their 7-5 win • Has had multiple hits 16 times • Had three RBI in a 13-1 win vs. UNLV on Feb. 17, including the game-breaker – a three-run double in the fourth that gave the Titans a 7-0 lead • Was a perfect 5-for-5 (all singles) with a career-high four RBI at UCLA on Apr. 23 • Also had hits in his first three at bats of the Titans’ next game (Vanguard) to stretch his streak to eight, two shy of the Fullerton record • Had a go-ahead pinch-hit single in the seventh inning of a 7-5 win over Cal Poly on Mar. 29.

TITANS ’01: Batted .167 in eight games for the Titans • Was 1-for-6 with a run and a pair of RBI • Had a pinch-hit RBI-single in his first career at-bat in a 12-0 win over Cal Poly on March 18 • Also scored once and drove in a run vs. Pacific on April 8.

BISHOP AMAT H.S.: Was a two-year varsity letterman for Coach Ken Kenorena • Finished with the highest career batting average (.486) in school history • Had a fantastic senior season, which earned him Del Rey League MVP, first-team All-CIF and first-team All-San Gabriel Valley honors • Batted .520 (52-for-100) with 11 doubles, four triples, nine home runs and 53 RBI • Set single-season school records for home runs, doubles, total bases (98) and hits (52) • Batted .447 with a pair of home runs and 20 RBI his junior year • Highlight was a grand slam against Rialto in the Chino Tournament.

PERSONAL: Born on April 18, 1982, in Bellflower, Calif. • Parents are Richard and Mary Burgos • Has a younger brother (Paul) and two younger sisters (Nicole and Salina) • Major is undecided • Was a member of the 1999 Babe Ruth World Series champions • Most prized possessions are his golf clubs and his car • Favorites...Oakland A’s (team), Eric Chavez (player), carne asada (food), Real World (TV show).
