Baseball Players
TITANS ’00: Started sporadically for the Titans (17 times), but appeared in 28 games as a reserve, second most on the team • Was batting just .133 through the first two months of the season, but hit .362 (21-for-58) over the final eight weeks of the season • Collected two hits in three consecutive games (Cal Poly twice and UCLA) • Had a season-high three RBI in the Titans’ 6-0 win over Nevada on May 5 and matched that against Pacific on May 14 • Was Coach Horton’s preferred pinch-runner, entering the game in that capacity nine times and scoring four runs • Was 7-for-10 in stolen bases • Batted a team-high .364 (8-for-22) with two outs • Suffered a slightly pulled hamstring in the final series against Long Beach State that kept him out of the lineup in regional play.
